More than 200 years after Thomas Jefferson unsuccessfully planted vines around his home in Monticello, Virginia, the state's wine industry has reached the point where it is now the fifth-biggest in the U.S. in terms of wineries.

Governor Terry McAuliffe was in London recently on a trade mission including winemakers from three of the state's leading vineyards.
