Crus Bourgeois du Medoc Comprise 32 Million Bottles for 2015, Most Since 2010

September 19, 2017

The Crus Bourgeois du Medoc announced its selection for the 2015 vintage, covering 271 growers producing 32 million bottles  and representing 31 percent of all wine produced in the Medoc, according to an emailed statement from the association.

The wines come from vineyards in the Medoc, Haut-Medoc, Listrac-Medoc, Moulis, Margaux, Pauillac and Saint Estephe appellations.

The volume of Crus Bourgeois du Medoc on sale is up from 30 million bottles for the 2014 vintage and just 20 million for the cooler, wet 2013 harvest, and compares with 29 million bottles for 2012 and 28 million for 2011, according to the statement.

The volume of Crus Bourgeois du Medoc on sale from the latest vintage matches the level for both 2010 and 2009, both of which were critically acclaimed across the Bordeaux region. It also compares with the 25 million bottles classified in 2008.
